Sewer Line Inspection
Are you having problems with your sewer lines? Did you know that having a sewer line inspection performed can help diagnose your sewer issues and ensure that they get repaired properly? Having a sewer line inspection done means that your plumbers don’t have to guess at what’s wrong because they can see it for themselves.
Our Sewer Line Inspection Process
When you call us for a sewer line inspection, we’ll make an appointment at a time that’s convenient for you. We’ll send out a sewer expert who will start by finding the sewer access in your home. Usually, this will be in your basement, alongside your furnace, water heater, etc.
Once we find the access portal, we’ll remove the cover and thread a camera on a long, flexible cord down through your sewer line. This camera allows us to see your entire sewer line, from your home to the place where it meets the city’s line at the street. With it, we can see exactly what is going wrong and figure out what needs to be done to repair your sewer.
The camera also allows us to figure out the exact location of your sewer problem. It contains a transmitter whose signal we can pick up with special equipment from your yard. Thus, the camera will tell us where your sewer line runs and where the problem exists. This helps us design the perfect plan for repairing your sewer.
After we’ve diagnosed your sewer problem and come up with a plan to fix it, we’ll perform the repair, too. We try to use trenchless sewer repair as much as possible. These technologies allow us to repair some sewer problems from that same sewer access port in your basement. It means that we may not have to dig up your yard, or we may have to dig one hole instead of an entire trench. This saves you having to put your entire yard back together again after the sewer repair is complete.
After your sewer is fixed, we’ll do another sewer line inspection before we leave. This means we’ll send our camera down your sewer line again, just to ensure that the problem was fixed properly. This also gives you the reassurance you need that the repair worked and that you won’t have to worry about your sewer line anymore.
Home Purchase Sewer Inspection
When you’re looking to buy a home, a sewer line inspection isn’t usually included unless you ask for it specifically. We’ll come out and send our camera down the sewer line in the home you’re looking to buy so you can catch any issues before you complete the purchase. If we do find sewer problems, you can ask the current owners to repair them before they move out. At the very least, you’ll know what you’re getting into.
Contact us at Waste & Water Logistics to schedule your sewer line inspection. We’ll get it done so you can know exactly what is happening in your sewer lines.
