We are #MackenzieStrong!
Can you imagine being a healthy kid until, one day, mysterious symptoms appear? That’s what happened to MacKenzie Zserai. She ended up having a brain surgery with complications and now suffers from several chronic illnesses including Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, Complex Chiari Malformation, and Mast Cell Activation Syndrome.
There is a surgery that could alleviate many of MacKenzie’s symptoms, but it requires her to travel to New York for further testing and to stay there through at least part of her recovery. This is an expensive process and her family would love some help!
That’s where we come in!
We are sponsoring a Mud Run on September 14th, 2019 at the Carbon County Fair. This fun 5K promises to be sloppy, wet, and a ton of fun for everyone involved. There will be obstacles to challenge you, mud to cool you off, and the best part is that it’s for a great cause.
You can help MacKenzie, too, by registering to run with us. She wants her life back and we want to help her get there. Show your support for your community and help MacKenzie and her family in a special way this month. The day of the run is getting close, so register soon. We would love to see you there as you stand with us and show that you, too, are #MacKenzieSTRONG!
If you would rather donate directly to her family you can:
- Venmo @Mackenzie-Zserai
- or donate through the donation account at Eastern Utah Community Credit Union.
